Let me surprise you – the mentoring is primarily for me.
I have decided to bring my professional career as a trainer and coach to a close. Over the past 30 years, I have worked extremely intensively, especially in the field of bidding. Several innovative, universal concepts have emerged, along with many interesting single agreements.
I would like to begin by presenting my concepts related to one way bidding.
This will be followed by competitive bidding, defensive bidding, slam bidding, and finally advanced concepts for connoisseurs.
Few bridge players know that the term “mentor” originates from Homer’s Odyssey, where the character of Mentor appears for the first time. He was a companion of Telemachus, the son of Odysseus, offering him guidance and advice while he was away from home and family. The purpose of a mentor was to use the full range of accumulated experience for the benefit of the mentee.
Today, mentoring is a form of development based on a relationship between a person with extensive knowledge in a given field and their student – the mentee. This relationship is typically direct and friendly in nature.
